The Area
Silves
Silves is a small historical town, 13 km north of Carvoeiro. However, Silves is worth seeing even without cultural interest, because it is just incredibly cozy with its overgrown squares, small shops and restaurants.
Lagos
The city of Lagos is one of the most beautiful cities in the Algarve. The choice of impressive beaches is enormous. East of the city stretches a kilometer-long, wide sandy beach - the Meia Praia - in an imposing bay, to the south and west are the most beautiful rock formations of the Algarve and thus also small, cozy rocky bays.
Carvoeiro Board Walk
On the breathtaking Algarve Coastline, connecting Nossa Senhora da Encarnação Fort and Algar Seco you find the spectacular Carvoeiro boardwalk. Stretching along the top of the seaside cliffs, the boardwalk looks straight down to the glimmering blue ocean.
Monchique Mountain Range
The Serra de Monchique is a mountain range in the west of the Algarve. The highest point is called Fóia and is 902 meters high. The Monchique Mountains are an important shelter from the cold wind that blows from the Atlantic Ocean to the mainland.

Beaches
Praia da Marinha
The somewhat remote Praia da Marinha is one of the most beautiful beaches in the rocky Algarve. The spectacular landscape with the cliffs and the rocks in the sea alone are worth a visit.
Praia de Benagil
The Praia de Benagil in the Algarve is best known for the cave of the same name, which is only a few meters from the beach. You can also take boat tours along the beautiful coastlines from here.
Praia dos Caneiros
Praia dos Caneiros is located near the mouth of the Rio Arade in Ferragudo. The small bay is surrounded by high rock walls. There is a good restaurant on the beach, but it is usually full in summer.
